Being a geek is who I have been as long as I can remember. Playing Doom 2 LAN with my Dad, Xbox Live when it was first introduced, to today's MOBA gaming and hardware, geekin out is a daily part of my life. I'm a husband and father who works full time with both my father and sister. Family has been a large part of my daily life. I work in IT, fixing computers for a living, and after having done it for a couple of years, built my first custom PC in 2011, and haven't looked back since. I only recently started reading comic books in late 2015, and enjoy the art, the stories and the character developments many of them have.
To start at the bottom, and work my way up. Starting with an old, off the shelf computer, and having the goal of a high end, ludicrously over priced and over specked that's beautiful, and a sight to behold. To learn and grow constantly. I want to go on a journey of small beginnings online, and building a community that works together, that builds each other, and that games together. I am going to bring an honest opinion of the things that come my way, and be budget conscience (as it regards to both money and time). I want to bring to bear what it means for me to be a dad who enjoys games, comic books (and movies), Dungeons and Dragons, technology and being with my family. All of these things make me who I am, and I'm proud of them, and I want to embolden anyone who is part of my guild, my community, my family, to be proud of who they are as well. It seems ambitious and over the top, but it is who I am.
So, what's the plan then?
Well, to leave you lovely folk with a video and article to have with your Monday morning cup of coffee. To take things one week at a time, and to grow things in an organic manner. So, if any of this sounds interesting, like something you would like to be a part of, grab a cup of coffee, join along, and let's enjoy.
