Check in each evening.
Your assistant asks the check-in questions, including room for anything else and drafts a short entry. You review it and approve your next commitment.
AN ACCOUNTABILITY RITUAL · BY GEEKINDAD
You don’t need a perfect week. You need a next step you can take, and a way to come back. Five minutes. Four check-in questions, plus room for anything else. Your AI assistant helps you keep going.
Written for Claude & ChatGPT · Your decisions. Your record.
01 / THE RITUAL
You don’t need to fix your whole life tonight. Pick one thing that matters. Give it a next step. Come back and tell the truth.
Your assistant asks the check-in questions, including room for anything else and drafts a short entry. You review it and approve your next commitment.
Look at what you actually recorded, with dates and coverage. Spot a pattern. Make one decision for the week ahead.
Start with your last recorded commitment. Leave the gap as a gap. You can restart without writing a defense of your week.
THE RULE THAT HOLDS IT TOGETHER
Let it ask, draft, count, and help you see patterns. You decide what’s true and what comes next.
A draft is a draft. An approved entry still needs to be saved. Steadyish asks you to check that you can retrieve your record again.
02 / INSIDE THE KIT
Steadyish gives your good intentions a daily rhythm: check in, choose one next step, and review what actually happened. It’s a downloadable kit for your AI assistant. Start with the recommended Chat Only setup.
The method, examples, worksheets, and a Quick Start designed for about 25 minutes.
Paste-in instructions, five tone presets, and seven optional guided interviews.
Money, career, health, home, relationships, and the project that keeps getting pushed back.
Start with one ledger. Explore folders, Sheets / Excel, a Notion import kit, Obsidian beta, or an advanced database setup.
A downloadable kit for personal use. AI service costs are separate.
03 / START SMALL. START TONIGHT.
Try the check-in with your own AI assistant. Keep the sample, even if you never buy the kit.
No account needed. Copy, paste, and begin.
The planned free email series will walk you through the ritual, the restart, and your first weekly review. It will also introduce the full kit.
Join the first Steadyish week. I’ll email you when the first seven-day pilot is ready.

04 / FAIR QUESTIONS
Steady, with room
to be human.
It’s a playbook, prompts, templates, and a repeatable ritual. You run it in your own AI assistant and keep the record in a setup you choose. This website introduces the kit; it doesn’t run your coach.
It can work with the record it can actually access. With Chat Only, you maintain a ledger file and upload its current version. The kit includes a retrieval check so you can verify that the record is available.
Plan for about 10 minutes to set up Chat Only and 15 minutes for the first session. Daily check-ins take about five minutes; weekly reviews take about twenty. These are estimates, and doing the actual work takes its own time.
Use the Restart Protocol: find the last recorded commitment, record what happened, and choose the next one. Missing days stay missing. There’s no streak to protect.
The recommended setup uses a project with standing instructions and files. Availability, reminders, and connected tools depend on your assistant and plan. Check the kit’s capability notes and the provider’s current documentation before adding automation.
The downloadable kit doesn’t send your records to GeekinDad. You choose where to store them; your AI provider processes what you share under its own terms. Keep sensitive details out of marketing forms and support emails.
The upcoming kit is intended for personal use. Client-use terms are still being developed.
